LINKBTC (ChainLink) - Coin of the weekChainlink is a platform that aims to connect the gap between the blockchain technology-based smart contracts and real-world applications. To achieve this goal, Chainlink uses oracles (a decentralized finance instrument) to feed data into smart contracts, because blockchains cannot access data outside their network. Oracles provide external data (e.g., temperature, weather) that trigger smart contract executions upon the fulfillment of predefined conditions. Currently, Chainlink has a 24h volume of $1,5 billion, ranking in the 10th place by market capitalization with a live cap of $11 billion.
LINKBTC was in an uptrend until the 10th of August 2020 when it peaked at 0,001692 BTC. Now we find ourselves in a correction that retraced the price 76,8% from the initial top. Focusing on the 4h chart timeframe, we can see an uptrend that started from January 3rd, stopped at 0,0007962 and then started to make a deep pullback. We can see 2 likely scenarios here, it will either retrace to the support area marked on the chart and then go up, or it will fall through the support and break the January lows.

LINKBTC setting to launch?Here is my trading idea of link/btc pair. There are some trendlines that I just follow, and some important fib levels marked, dont pay attention to it. I am looking at potential symetrical triangle break-out. Price target would depend on where we are actually going to break out.

LINK to 0.005 btcAt the end of 2016, bitcoin was making ATH while ETHBTC was massively down, subsequently ETH went 10x against bitcoin and way more against the USD.
I believe this same pattern is playing out with LINKBTC, BTC made new ATH piercing 20k and the LINKBTC ratio shit the bed. I believe however that just like with ETH in 2016-17 this was and is a massive buying opportunity. I have been invested in link since less then a dollar, and I know this sounds crazy from 'just' $30 but I believe link has a good chance of reaching a $1000 valuation within the next two years.
I know many people believe that it is possible for Bitcoin to go to 200k a coin this market cycle, if LINK reaches 0.005 btc just 180% up from it's previous ATH LINKBTC ratio then LINK at $1000 USD doesn't seem so crazy.
Of course it is a moving target as USD today and USD a few years from now are vastly different due to massive money printing. However comparing bitcoin to real assets like precious metals, houses, stocks (?), land, guns and ammo, women and then comparing bitcoin to link will allow us to see if LINK can make a real gain. Right now a LINK token is around the price it costs to buy a ounce of silver + physical premium.
Only the free market will, in time elucidate the true value of a link token. Perhaps it will fail and go to zero and that is why we diversify in different assets to protect ourselves. However though both technical and mostly fundamental research and analysis I believe that LINK is a massive speculative opportunity to essentially profit from the 'great reset'.
