#202433 - priceactiontds - weekly update - wti crude oilGood Evening and I hope you are well.
tl;dr
wti crude oil: Most interesting currently. Bulls got right to the upper bear channel and the daily 20ema. Bears have a do or die moment here. If they fail, we can rally all the way back up to 80 and if bulls fail, we likely test back down to at least 72.
Quote from last week:
comment : Bears are in a hurry and hit my lower target of 73 way ahead of time. My bearish targets are met for now and market is at the bottom of the bear channel and hit a bull trend line. If this won’t hold on Monday/Tuesday, we will see 65 in the next 2-3 weeks. I do think Oil is currently a prime example of why it’s important to learn to read charts and not the f*****g news who wants to tell you every week why Oil is going up due to macro event xyz. Only thing mattering next week is how high the pullback will be to see if we stay inside the triangle or break below. On the weekly/monthly chart the triangle pattern is coming to an end and we will likely see a bigger breakout over the next weeks or months. If this coincides with a macro event, well… You read it here first, many months before the event.
comment: Pullback right to the bear trend line and daily 20ema. As foretold. You welcome. Right. Bullish targets met and do or die moment for bears. Bear trend line has to hold or we stay inside the big triangle and targets above will be 79 and then 80. Not more magic to it.
current market cycle: trading range (triangle) - nested bear trend inside could still be valid if we reverse on Monday
key levels: 70-80
bull case: Bulls kept it above 71.5 and bears gave up on Wednesday. Easy so far. Bulls now need a break above the bear channel and a daily close above it to make most bears cover. If they do that, we will likely see a quick move to 80 again.
Invalidation is below 75.
bear case: Bears need to stay inside the bear channel or the minor bear trend is over. Below 75 I think the odds favor the bears again to trade back to 72 or lower. Given the pattern from the bull trend in June, it’s probably a bit more likely that bears are done for now and we trade back up to 80 but we will find out on Monday.
Invalidation is above 78.
outlook last week:
short term: Neutral and expecting a pullback but need some bull bars first. If market drops below 73, I will scalp short for 70.7 or lower but anything below that is oversold and I’m out.
→ Last Sunday we traded 73.52 and now we are at 76.84. 70.07 did not get hit but short below 73 was still good for 130 ticks. Pullback after, so another banger of an outlook in Oil.
short term: Neutral. Need strong momentum to either side and will join in that direction. Leaning very slightly bullish for a break above 78.
medium-long term: We are seeing the big triangle playing out between 72 and 82/84. The high of the triangle got tested until mid of April and we have now tested the lows around 72.5. We are at the bear trend line and odds favor the bears if they stay below 86.27 for trading back down below 76 again. Update: If we break below 70.67, the triangle is dead and we need to find new support. Will update this again when it happens.
current swing trade: None
chart update: Two legged correction was almost perfect to the tick. It’s done for now and I removed it.
WTI Oil H4 | Rising into pullback resistanceWTI oil (USOIL) is rising towards a pullback resistance and could potentially reverse off this level to drop lower.

Take profit is at 72.04 which is a pullback support.

WTI OIL Strong cyclical support zone can push it to $110.WTI Oil (USOIL) is having a strong correction, along with the majority of the markets due to the fears of an economic slowdown. In times like these, it is always productive to zoom out and look at the long-term perspective, preferably a multi-year one.
On the current analysis we look at the 1M time-frame, which offers useful insight on Oil's Cycles. As you can see, the 1M MA50 (blue trend-line) and 1M MA100 (green trend-line) form a formidable Support Zone that hasn't seen a monthly candle closing below it since March 2021.
In cyclical terms it appears that the market is around a state similar to the consolidations of July 2009 - September 2010 and April 2002 - September 2003 (green arcs). They both offered a minimum rise of +65% to +70% following a Bullish Cross formation on the 1M MACD.
As a result, we are ignoring the short term weakness in the market and turn buyers long-term, targeting $110.00 (+65%).

SPY/QQQ Plan Your Trade 8-1 : Where's the BaseRally301 PatternI know. I'm asking the same question.
Today's move is not normal. The US markets don't move 1.5 to 3.5% on normal days. This is something bigger - outside the normal scope of market data.
It could be the election conflict in Venezuela.
It could be the US POTUS election news.
It could be what appears to be a collapse in Asian markets.
It could be that European markets fell hard today.
It could be anything that is related to forward expectations for the US/Global markets.
My data is still showing this is a DIP in a bullish trend (a BUY THE DIP opportunity).
My data shows the following:
- Europe & Asia are trending downward.
- US is following Europe/Asia.
- US-Dollar Demand (SPY BASE TREND) is flat - but still strong
- Hedge Assets (Gold/Silver/BTCUSD) are holding up well in the face of this move.
- The MRM system has not turned BEARISH yet (that's good).
- Major Markets To Metals (hedge instruments) are much weaker.
- The Volatility Index is at 15.51 (still above the <12 level for a bearish trend).
- The Leading Index is lower (showing Volatility near a Flag Apex).
- The Market Ratio index is higher (showing reflation strength).
- The US to Global Index is still showing the US markets are stronger than the foreign markets.
- The US Valuation Trend index is at 240 (reflating strongly compared to foreign markets).
After watching the price trend all morning with my new MENT Pressure System (including the Fibonacci Price Theory model), I really do believe this is a FLUSH-OUT LOW setting up which will revert back into a bullish price trend (the Vortex Rally phase).
Nothing seems broken to me (yet).
Get some.

Finally time for bullish oil? $USO to $120 then $300+People have been calling for the oil bull market to begin for the past two years and the trade largely hasn't worked as we've gone sideways to down. However, based on the chart, it looks like we're finally ready for a run.
This would also line up with my bearish equity thesis.
Oil looks to have broken out of an inverse head and shoulders pattern and althought it's a diagonal pattern which are less reliable, the indicators that I have seem to support the narrative.
I think there's a possibility that we could see a 4x move over the next year or so.
Let's see how it plays out.

2024-07-29 - priceactiontds - daily update - oilGood Evening and I hope you are well.
comment: Lower low again after market formed a perfect double top with Globex high, which was couple of ticks above Globex open. Market is going down but barely. Bears taking profits at new lows and wait for market to go higher again before they sell it. 1h 20ema is a roller coaster. Need to trade small, have wide stops and wait for decent pullbacks.
current market cycle: trending trading range or broad bear channel, whatever you prefer to call it
key levels: 74 - 78
bull case: Bulls buying new lows and making money. That’s about it. They are too weak to push to make new highs and bears will probably stop at bigger resistance which I think is below 74.
Invalid below 73.
bear case: Bears in control but they are taking profits at new lows and thats why the channel down is so broad and we have two sided trading. Play the bear channel until it’s clearly broken. Do not try to be a rocket scientist here and start with macro schmackro stuff about oil. It’s going down, look for shorts. Be Forest Gump and not Cathie Wood.
Invalid above 78.
short term: Bearish. Play the channel.
medium-long term: We are seeing the big triangle playing out between 72 and 86 (could also be 87 but for now I see the spike above 83 as a failed breakout of the triangle. We hit the lower trend line and now we will test back up to above 83. —will update this Wednesday
current swing trade: Still short since 82.69.
trade of the day: Selling the double top Globex and EU high at 77.6. Had to get short latest at bar 42 but better 41 since it was also a head & shoulders or the top of the trading range. More than enough reasons to sell.
CRUDE OIL WILL FALL|SHORT|
✅CRUDE OIL is trading in a
Downtrend and the price
Broke the key horizontal
Level of 76.50$ which is now
A resistance and the breakout
Is confirmed so we are bearish
Biased and we will be expecting
A further bearish continuation
SHORT🔥

Oil Moves At The End Of July..Over a mid-long term period we have seen Oil slowly close in on its price range.
This comes as the Market awaits a larger sentiment inflow and move either largely up or down.
In my previous posts on Tradingview, I mentioned it short various times, so our bias remains the same on any rises.
Any longs, really, need a larger fall to key support levels below.
USOIL / Bearish confirmation toward 79.49 Technical Analysis: USOIL
Current Outlook:
The price is expected to touch 80.70 and then consolidate between 80.70 and 81.70 until a breakout occurs.
Bullish Scenario:
For a bullish trend to be established, the price should reverse and stabilize above 82.27, targeting 82.25 and 84.14. There is also a possibility of a bullish retest up to 81.70.
Bearish Scenario :
As long as the price trades below 81.70, it will likely drop to 79.50. The price needs to break below 80.70 to confirm the bearish trend, ideally closing a 1-hour candle under this level.
Key Levels:
- Pivot Line: 81.22
- Support Levels: 79.49, 77.94, 75.35
- Resistance Levels: 81.72, 82.24, 84.14
Today's Expected Range:
The price is anticipated to move between the support at 79.49 and the resistance at 82.15.
WTI Oil - 4HWTI oil completed its second bullish leg and has now formed a reversal setup. The price action shows that WTI missed the ascending channel support and is currently consolidating below the previous support zone, which has now turned into a resistance level. This suggests a potential bearish outlook as the price struggles to regain upward momentum.
With the recent break of the ascending channel, it is expected that WTI may continue its downward trajectory. The consolidation under the new resistance zone indicates seller strength, and further declines could be seen if the price fails to break back above this resistance. Traders should watch for key support levels around $81 and $78 for potential buy signals or continuation of the bearish trend.
WTI Oil H4 | Potential bearish reversalWTI oil (USOIL) is rising towards a pullback resistance and could potentially reverse off this level to drop lower.
Sell entry is at 79.03 which is a pullback resistance that aligns with the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level.
Stop loss is at 80.70 which is a level that sits above the 50.0% Fibonacci retracement level and a pullback resistance.
Take profit is at 75.23 which is a pullback support that aligns close to the 78.6% Fibonacci retracement level.
